General Health & Well-being
You don’t have to have a specific diagnosis or major health problem to benefit from acupuncture.
Some people come in because they don’t feel quite like themselves. Others want support during a stressful period, while recovering from an illness or injury, or simply as part of maintaining their health.
Acupuncture can be one part of a broader approach to supporting your physical and emotional well-being.

People may seek acupuncture for:
- General well-being
- Stress management
- Relaxation
- Sleep support
- Energy and vitality
- Recovery and resilience
- Support during periods of change
- Maintaining health as they age
- Feeling more balanced and connected to their body
A whole-person approach
Traditional Chinese medicine looks at health as an interconnected system rather than treating every symptom separately.
Your sleep can affect your energy. Stress can affect your digestion and muscle tension. Pain can affect your sleep. Changes in one area can have an effect elsewhere.
Your treatment takes these relationships into account.
Rather than coming in with a predetermined treatment plan, we look at what is happening in your life and in your body and determine what approach makes sense for you.
Acupuncture as part of ongoing care
Some people come for a specific problem and continue acupuncture after their symptoms have improved because they find regular treatment useful for maintaining their overall well-being.
Others come in periodically when they are going through a particularly demanding period or notice that they are feeling out of balance.
There isn’t one schedule that is right for everyone. How often you receive treatment depends on what you are addressing, how you respond, and what works for you.
What to expect
Your first appointment gives us time to discuss your health, your current concerns, and what you would like from acupuncture.
I then use that information along with traditional Chinese medicine assessment to develop an individualized treatment.
You don’t need to know exactly what treatment you need before you come in. We can start with what you are experiencing and go from there.
Acupuncture can also be used alongside conventional medical care and other approaches to health and well-being.
